Dear Members and Friends of IAMA

These days the backbone of any organization is its website. IAMA has been struggling to have a dynamic and progressive website for many years and finally I am happy to announce the launch of our new dynamic and easy to use website. Many thanks to our energetic, dedicated and hardworking website committee, Drs. Tannaz Armaghany, Katayoun Katouzian, Mohammad Shokouh-Amiri, Sina Madani and Shahriar Bozorgzad.

Hopefully, many hurdles we have faced in the past will now be history. Of course, the technology is rapidly advancing, so by no means, we are claiming to own a state of the art website and ask our members and friends to be tolerant if they see any flaws in the system, and come forward with constructive advice for improvement. Considering the size of our organization, I hope the website will answer the essential needs of our organization. Hopefully, we will be able to maintain the standard of our website competitive.

As you are aware recently 2 large earthquakes with the strength of 7.6 and 6.5 Richter stroke Iran in Kermanshah and Kerman with a lot of casualties and material destructions. IAMA has always been in forefront of humanitarian missions to help victims of any natural disasters; we started a fundraising right away for these causes through email, our previous website, personal Facebook of Dr. Katayoun Katouzian and V.O.A.(Voice Of America). Now that we are equipped with a stronger website & social media, we are pleading in a much larger scale to fundraise to hopefully build another medical center for the survivors of these natural catastrophes. Of course, the extent of IAMA’s contribution to have a medical center, school, etc. will solely depend on the generosity of our donors.

IAMA was successful to build a medical center in Bam, thanks to the generosity of our donors. The experience we got during building the Bam Medical Center has taught us a lot and it will be easier for IAMA to fulfill its mission in Kermanshah. IAMA has the permission of the OFAC to accept the donations for the victims of the natural disasters and IAMA’s NGO representative in Iran is ready to embark on any project we plan to start.
