UPDATE: DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 2/15/2018

Dear IAMA members and all Iranian American health care providers

The last meeting in San Diego was very successful scientifically and I would like request the call for abstracts and clinical investigations for this coming year, May 25-28, 2018, Houston, TX.

This year’s meeting will be a special meeting for all of us. We will be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of IAMA. Our goal at annual meeting of IAMA is to bring together diverse interest of participants to provide meaningful coverage of various disciplines.

During last year’s meeting 3 young investigators were awarded for their excellent research work. I sincerely would like to ask members and other Iranian clinicians and researchers who would like to be involved in IAMA from different disciplines to take their time and send abstracts from their research so we can make the meeting more balanced towards all disciplines such as cardiology, pulmonology, pediatrics, orthopedics, neurology, immunology, dentistry surgery, PhD, Pharm.D, Podiatry, Chiropractic and of course basic science. We have extended the abstract submission until 2/15/2018.

Abstracts are to be submitted electronically, less than 3000 characters or 300 words. Authors will be notified of the decision of selected abstracts by the 15th of February 2018.

Please send your abstract to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Based on the generosity of the IAMA’s senior members, we will have a few traveling grants for younger members (students, residents and fellows) who participate in the meeting and are actively involved in IAMA. The grant will cover hotel expenses (meeting hotel), Gala ticket, and meeting registration. The registration fee for presenters who are medical students, residents or fellow will be waived. Presentations of accepted abstracts are required to be submitted on PowerPoint format one month prior to meeting to avoid any audiovisual difficulties that may occur. Late submission of your PowerPoint Presentation will cause removal of the abstract from the meeting. All individuals are required to be registered for the meeting in order to present their abstract.

  Sincerely, Hosein Shokouh-Amiri, MD
