The minute of IAMA Board Members on June 16, was discussed and Dr. Cyrus Serry accepted the position of, Member at Large. The minutes then was approved unanimously. The progress of IAMA webpage and the power of accessibility for each Board Member to the webpage was discussed. Dr. sadegi announced that Dr. Hamid Mahazab is in contact with Dr. Omid Zad (webmaster) for this purpose. Dr. Salimi who is the chairman of the membership committee mentioned that, he tried to get contact with the members recently and could not find the phone numbers and emails of the members. Dr. Sadegi explained that, for the reason of privacy and confidentiality the addresses and phone numbers are encrypted and only will be accessed by the webmaster and his permission. Dr. Sadegi promised Dr. salimi, who is the chairman of the membership committee that, he gets the list of the members with their addresses. Dr. Radfar, the treasurer, reported the progress of transferring the IAMA account from NEW York to Illinois, Bank of America. The account will be active shortly. The Florida’s restriction on travel agencies effecting Iranians who are traveling to Iran was discussed. The suggestions of the Board regarding this unilateral state law are as follows. Members of the Board of Directors, vehemently opposes the decision of Florida’s legislator’s, as this is an insult to the Iranian Americans, who have been discriminated and prejudged. Many IAMA members travel to Iran for the purpose of visiting their families, as well as class reunions and this decision is not humanitarian. IAMA Board of directors requesting that IAMA Board of Trustees to express the IAMA member’s great discontentment to the Florida’s legislators. Report of IAMA Massachusetts Chapter regarding fund rising for Dr. Roksana Sasanfar was discussed and the members were encouraged to contribute to this fund, for the continuation to this most scientific and humanitarian research. Dr. Cyrus Serry was appointed as the chairman of the By- Laws Committee. Dr. Serry gracefully accepted. There were no further subjects to discuss, therefore the meeting was called to adjourn.
