General Internal Medicine Fellowship
Masters of Science in Medical Education

Applications are now being accepted for NYU’s General Internal Medicine Fellowship Program in July 2007. This two-year program provides formal training leading to a MS in Medical Education. Trainees are prepared for careers as scholars in medical education research and as master educators, committed to training the next generation of generalist physicians.

Please look for the program brochure we will be mailing you soon and share this information with potential candidates from your residency program.

Trainees will complete a core curriculum with courses such as Research Methods, Clinical Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Principles of Adult Education, Curriculum Design, Health and Education Policy, and Academic Leadership. Through supervised teaching and precepting, trainees develop skills in various clinical and teaching settings at NYU School of Medicine.

The cornerstone of the program is mentored research in the Division of General Internal Medicine, which provides a fertile laboratory for educational innovation and research.
