IAMA-Texas is awarding scholarships in amount of $1500 to qualified

Iranian-American students in the medical and allied health fields.

The deadline for the 2011 application is

August 14 2011.
 
Eligible students for the application are:
 
1. Iranian-American students in health care related fields
2. Active enrollment or acceptance in Texas universities

The scholarship recipients have to be present at our Annual Gala on 10/08/2011.
 
Required Documents:

Completed IAMA-Texas scholarship form (see the attached document)
Personal statement written in English (limit: 500 words)
Two letters of recommendation
Original copy of school transcripts
Students who have received the IAMA-TX scholarship in the last 2 years are not eligible for the application.
 
The applicants will be ranked based on their school transcripts, letters of recommendation, personal statement, and community involvement with special emphasis on services provided to the Iranian-American community.

All applications received by 8/14/2011 will be reviewed by our scholarship committee. Students will be notified as to the status of their application by 09/20/2011.
